Thanks to the efforts of Heather Coiner (Little Hat Creek Farm), Rev. Rodney Sandige, Sue Klett and Dan Klett for organizing, and collecting pick ups of food from 18 of our market vendors this season. Our vendors donated 731 pounds of vegetables, fruit, and meat and 105 units of grain and dairy products to the Heritage Center Food Pantry!
In the words of a food bank volunteer, "What an amazing community we live in! We really take care of our own, as the generosity of the farm market vendors has shown."
The HCFP provides food once a month, on the third Thursday, from 9am to 11 am at the Nelson Heritage Center, 1653 Thomas Nelson Hwy, Arrington, VA.
