You may see just a few plants in pots in these pictures…but I see new beginnings, fresh start, solid supporting friendship, and last but certainly not least…God’s continued provision.
With building, moving, participating in community boards, expanding product line, starting the farmers market back up for the next 6 month +, organizing a week long ladies homesteading camp, and continued building and moving…I do not have the time, energy or all the other things needed to put in the usual big garden. I have a ton of frozen tomatoes and peppers for tomato sauce or any other cooked tomato/pepper need I might have…but not fresh summer ones.
I was feeling the need to tend to at least a few plants, even if just for a small “kitchen garden” with a couple tomato plants for fresh eating, some peppers, basil and even one eggplant plant. My best friend to the rescue!
Daneen Brown Parish comes through every time, and I thank God every day for such a great friend. We may dream of being “self-sufficient,” but that’s doesn’t mean relying only on yourself…I think a better term is “community sufficiency.”
