Thank you Sam for writing such a nice piece about us retiring. We have loved serving the community these past 22 years and are so grateful for all of you wonderful customers, many of you who’ve become friends.
We would not have been here this long if it wasn’t for all our amazing employees whom we have grown to love and are all like family to us .
A big shout out to Samantha and Mike Fledderjohann and Harry and Diane McElfresh who have been with us the longest and frankly we wouldn’t have been here this long without them. It’s the people in the background who keep a business running and we are so very grateful for you all. ❤️
We will keep everyone updated on what will to happen to the Market and Cafe in 2023 on this page.
Currently we are self-serve for all our pumpkins, gourds, straw and produce. You can pay at the self-serve table in the front of the building. If you need mums please inbox me on this page.
I will post when self-serve is closed .

Hi! Sam (daughter) here. Now that the market has gone to self-serve, I ask you to join me in wishing my parents a happy retirement. For 22 years they've run the Green Thumb Farm Market. Like so many of you, I have cherished pictures of my now-grown children running amongst the pumpkins or riding the ponies at their annual Family Fun Day. For 22 years their summers and falls have been completely booked as they worked tirelessly to bring fresh produce and fun to the surrounding communities. They've donated thousands and thousands of pounds of food to local food banks, not because there was extra, but because they made a conscious effort to plant for the sole purpose of being able to do so. They never desired or asked for recognition for their efforts. It was something they WANTED to do.
They've built a business that has become a staple in the community. Like you, I will truly miss them being there, but I also know it is time. They have served well, have worked tirelessly, and are deserving of all good things. Please join me in thanking them for providing this special place for us all!

Opening for Pumpkin Season tomorrow Sept. 10th, from 11:00 am -5 p.m.
We will have locally grown produce ,
Michigan peaches, pumpkins, Gourds , straw bales, fall decor , several sizes and colors of mums and more.
Sunday hours are 11-4 .
Will post weekday hours Sunday evening . This is our last season open . So hope you can all make it out.
