On exhibit at Farmette: Two Summers by Elise Pescheret 🌼 A note from Katie: This collaboration was total kismet. Elise and I met over the winter in Wisconsin at the most adorable little cafe overlooking Lake Michigan. It turns out, both our husbands knew each other and our parents live in the same town. We hit it off right away and started chatting about our shared love of the Midwest and California, feeling inspired by them equally. We finished our coffees and went our ways. It took me one hot second of peeking at Elise’s work on Instagram for me to ask if she had any interest in bringing her stunning nature-inspired paintings to Farmette. We had these big blank walls and she had ideas. I sent her measurements of the blank spots on our walls and she filled them with beauty just a few months later. Not having any idea what she was painting it was a total surprise up until the minute they were hung on the wall. This exhibit is so meaningful and inspiring, and I hope you think so too. Come grab a coffee and sit next to these for a while. It feels good to be next to them, like sitting in the dunes, looking at the lake or a field of wildflowers. Thank you Elise 💕
