PURPOSE
The New Castle County Farmers Market Program (NCCFMP) will provide family-friendly, community gathering places for consumers to be able to purchase freshest local foods available. It will also provide alternative educational and marketing opportunities for local farmers, growers, producers and small businesses to help create sustainable, economically viable and socially responsible market
system, in addition to improving the variety, freshness, nutritional value and distribution of fresh farmland foods to the community. The NCCFMP is also designed to promote the enjoyment of the benefits of New Castle County Parks and participation in outdoor activity and healthy living. VISION
The NCCFMP will provide a fun, lively, entertaining, outdoor community destination each market session where families and friends can purchase great local goods, foods and produce while also enjoying outdoor activities, live local entertainment and the benefits of each respective New Castle County park venue.
