Soooo, does anyone know of any farmers or gardeners with Hippy tendencies? Don't know what that means???
Hippie tendencies involve a countercultural lifestyle prioritizing peace, love, environmentalism, and personal freedom over conventional materialist values. Often including sustainable living, organic foods while focusing on nature.
We are creating the ultimate Harvest Garden. Not your ordinary community garden where you grow it and it's your's... No... We grow it and it's your's...
We’re creating a space where:
🌱 Kids can learn by doing (not just watching)
🍓 Fresh food is free and accessible
🐝 Pollinators are just as important as people
💚 And the whole community has a hand in it
But we want to take it even further…
We’re looking to design a space that feels alive and welcoming — not rigid or “row by row.”
Think:
💧 Simple, functional watering systems that blend naturally into the landscape
🌿 Companion planting and natural growing methods
🍄 Healthy soil built the right way (not rushed)
🌸 Areas designed to attract bees, butterflies, and beneficial insects
And for the kids… this is where it gets fun:
👩🌾 Small “garden play” kitchen areas where they can:
Make mud pies
Create seed balls (aka “flower bombs”) to toss into growing areas
Learn while getting their hands dirty
🌻 Spaces where they can snack while they work (yes… cherry tomatoes included!)
🔥 A chore + reward system so they can:
Help maintain the garden
Learn responsibility
Make a little extra money while doing something meaningful
This is about more than a garden…
It’s about building something that teaches, feeds, and brings people together.
