Creekside Homestead This is our first year selling produce from our Garden. Green beans, Kale, Chard, Tomatoes of all kinds, Lettuce, Beets, Carrots, Peppers, Broccoli.

We have been growing our own produce for the past 5years to help feed our family through the summer. Our family has worked for a couple farms in the past raising produce and animals. Now my husband is a truck driver and I stay at home with our three kids. We don't put any sprays on our plants or any additives in our soil. We buy our plants from a quality family based greenhouse called Five Points

Farm Market and Greenhouse. This will be the first year we start selling some of our produce. We will have a table out on the front porch with produce on it. Until my husband can get the produce stand built. Please Come Check Us Out!!

Something I have been working on and learning a lot about is Herbs and the medicinal uses so many of the wonderful smelling plants, flowers and culinary herbs have to offer even those that may seem to be weeds are very beneficial if we use them or eat them. This is Calendula which also known as our pot marigolds we love to plant in spring!! It is great for cuts, rashes sunburns, chicken pox, cold sores, muscle spasms and even helps calm down stomach/ intestinal issues. I took the dried herbs and made a tincture to draw out the medicinal benefits from the dried flower. It gave this beautiful honey looking color! My first time making a tincture but I have many other tinctures in the works that I will share when they are ready!

All done and salted!! They came out pretty tasty!
