We want to sincerely thank all of you that patroned and supported our little store at Essex Market for 4 years. Some of you may already know this, but our larger parent company, Southeast Asia Food Group, is a distributor that supplies restaurants and food service establishments all across the metro area with quality imported Asian ingredients. The store at Marketline was born out of a love to offer and share some of these great products to the general public and consumers to have in their homes. Southeast is part of the Southeast Asia Food Group (SAFG), an Asian Food Distributor that has worked with New York’s top chefs, restaurants, hotels, and cafeterias for nearly 30 years. In the fall of 2019, we opened our first retail shop/showroom inside the newly developed food hall, The Market Line, located on the Lower East Side in NYC. Our retail space will function both as a grocery store and a showroom, allowing customers to shop for chef-approved Asian food and ingredients, and to participate in group cooking-demonstrations, conducted by local business owners and chefs. Food service professionals and home cooks are all welcome.
