Lou caught up with Stefano Busti from Caseificio Busti at this year’s Fancy Food show in New York. Di Palo’s is proud to carry the wonderful Pecorino selection from Busti.

We had the pleasure of being visited by the students of Istituto Agrario di Todi from Umbria with their professor Roberto Luneia. Lou met Professor Luneia on a recent trip to Umbria and they bonded over their love of Italian food, food culture and especially Umbria. Together they arranged to have the students come to Di Palo and sample some of the wonderful products of Umbria and educate our customers on the traditional Umbrian products.

Last month we had the privilege of presenting our fresh dairy and imported Italian products while also representing the Italian immigrant at the 2026 Tenement Museum Gala. We are so honored to have participated for the second year in a row. Thank you to the Tenement Museum (The Tenement Museum) for having us again.

On a recent trip to Italy Lou visited two great Gelato shops.

Gelateria Crispini in Spoleto Umbria and I Caruso in Rome. Both places very authentic and fresh. I Caruso even has their old gelato machines on display still producing some of the best gelato. Make sure to try these wonderful gelati on your next visit.
