We are here for you all summer long!
As we approach our 102nd birthday this July, just some photos to remind you of how the store has been looking recently. It has truly been a journey these past five years specifically, Jen Jen is always adding things and making it better for our customers, who have become our second family. A SEASONED CLASSIC 💐 Celebrating the birthday of Great Grandma Mary also known as Mariannina, born in 1904❤️ This photo is saved in our home, straight from a catalogue in the early 1990s. I was fortunate enough to meet the photographer, neighbor and customer when I first started working at the store! Grateful to have this and thinking of her today. Can’t wait to see you all again 9/5 🗓️

Dear Customers, please take note of these upcoming hours for the month of August. The store will be open this week through Saturday August 5th so please give a call or write a message and you can stock up your freezer with some favorites!
Jennifer will be traveling for personal reasons (as many of you know!) but also for business, and so she will take you along with her. The third photo is a hint, which was taken by her Prezioso grandparents on their honeymoon in 1954. Any guesses where it could be??

Thank you to our friends, dogs, customers and colleagues for checking in this week. It’s been truly lovely and heartwarming , during a time that can feel very lonely and uncertain. Flowers in the window, because it is our home 💐❤️

On Tuesday morning at approximately 5:20AM our store was broken into. Luckily there was not much harm to the store valuables, which include many priceless objects and photos. Unfortunately did not leave the antique cash register open and so the robber spent 10 minutes breaking it apart. Although there was a minimal amount of change from Monday, I am still very shaken from the event. The 5th Pct. have been very helpful, and we were able to find fingerprints- I noticed he picked the wrong button on our register and it got stuck! Fingers crossed this can lead to a match, we are trying our best to identify the individual as our security footage captured him trying to break into almost every store on the block. In the meantime, it is back to business so the best thing you can do is come support the store this year as we turn 100 in a few months 🥩❤️🥩❤️

AND ACTION! 🎥🎞 Customers and Friends, our store has been picked as a set for a new show and will be using our space from Thursday July 14 through Wednesday July 20!! While you may see Jennifer here with delicious meat, it will unfortunately not be for sale 😩 We will have regular store hours before and after these dates, just in time for someone’s birthday 🥳
To reminisce on past productions, here is a photo of Great Grandma Mary Albanese conversing with (and perhaps giving feedback to) director Francis Ford Coppola, on set of The Godfather Part III. Elizabeth Street is the setting for a feast celebration, and Mary is putting a donation on the saint statue. Moe is seen in the shop!
