HAPPY NEW YEAR!! Let's EAT!!
This week, we're cooking up:
White Bean and Escarole Soup - mmm, mmm, GOOD!
Stuffed Peppers - vegetables, rice, herbs, marinara sauce in a tasty edible package! Paired with Dilly String Beans!
Shepherd's Pie - layers of carrots, seitan, mushroom gravy, topped with mashed potatoes, matched perfectly with Wild Rice!
Portobello Mushroom Stroganov - delicately seasoned with herbs and white wine, hearty and perfect, alongside slightly garlic-y sauteed Swiss Chard.
Pissaladiere - a Provence-style quiche with tomatoes, basil, olive and onion. With it, heavenly roasted Greek potatoes!
For dessert, how about gingerbread? Yeah, gingerbread.

COLE SLAW! The real stuff, a bit spicy, a bit crunchy, and a bit creamy. Mmmmm!

The weather is amazing, no way you want to be inside cooking! But you can't let all this incredible produce go to waste. Solution? MAC THE KNIFE!!! what do you think about:
ARTICHOKE AND TOMATO SALAD with Jersey beefsteak tomatoes, no less!
BURRITOS, crunchy, spicy, fresh vegetable-packed whole wheat tortillas, with homemade salsa, and CUCUMBER DILL SALAD to go with it.
EGGPLANT PROVENCALE, a saffron-flavored, pepper-tomato-currant-onion-and-herb trip to the Mediterranean on a plate! WILD RICE WITH ALMONDS AND FRESH PARSELY compete this one!
POLENTA MILANESE with fresh basil and tarragon mixed in with zucchini, carrot, and celery served with SAUTEED GARLIC SPINACH. You just GOT to have garlic bread on the table!

I think it's time for a new menu, don't you? You don't want to spend these precious, fleeting days of summer in the kitchen! So how 'bout
SPINACH-CUCUMBER-BEET SALAD in a red wine vinegriette.
SPICY (TO YOUR DEGREE OF HEAT) PEANUT NOODLES and STEAMED HERBED SWISS CHARD.
PISSALADIERE ( a light, fluffy quiche of tomato, olives, basil, in a flaky crust) with LEMON DILLY GREEN BEANS!!!
GRILLED, MARINATED PORTOBELLO MUSHROOMS paired with BARBEQUED BAKED BEANS! YES!! What magic is this?!! Eat it and find out!
SEITAN FRANCAISE, lightly herbed, sprinkled with wine, like most of you....escorted by ROASTED JAPANESE EGGPLANT. The mirin-based glaze is transcendant.
COCONUT CAKE WITH RASPBERRY FILLING. Come on. It's summer. What else could there be?
The coop is bursting with fresh, delicious bounty, the farmer's markets are inspirational, let Mac do the work, you just enjoy the ride!

HEY THERE, MAC FANS!!! It's New Menu Saturday! (I just made that up, it's not really a "thing". Let's see:
THAI STYLE SPIRAL SALAD, with ribbons of cucumber, zucchini, carrots, chunks of mango, a touch of chile and cilantro, a nice start!
GREEN LENTIL & SPINACH CURRY with WILD RICE, just enough spice to make it crazy delicious.
COUS COUS WITH ROASTED FIGS AND CAULIFLOWER paired with SWEET POTATO; sweet, crunch, smooth,so many textures and tastes, you need this.
BLACK BEAN TAQUITO WITH ENCHILADA SAUCE escorted by SWEET AND SOUR CUCUMBER SALAD; nomnomnomnomnom
STUFFED PEPPERS paired with CEVICHE STYLE MUSHROOM. Like Grandma used to make. If your Grandma was AWESOME!!!
For dessert, a tasty little banana with a dark chocolate ganache that will make all the bad thoughts go away.
You have better things to do with your time than cook, like wait for subways. Call. WE DELIVER!!!

LOOK OUT, OL' MACKY'S BACK!!! And it's totally been worth the wait! The best of the best is out in full force now, the markets and coop have given me delicious ideas, and you look hungry. Let Mac feed you. Here we go!!
BLACK BEAN AND CORN SALAD-With zesty lemon-cilantro dressing!
PISALADIERE-Hold on to summer tastes with this savoury quiche featuring tomatoes at their peak, fragrant basil, and mouthwatering olives! LEMON DILL STRING BEANS make it a Provence-worthy meal.
SESAME NOODLES-Creamy, dreamy noodles, with a hint of a spicy bite. STEAMED SWISS CHARD with onion dressing goes nicely!
CHILI-a protein-packed hearty supper with the heat ranging from Tingly Tongue to "I just sunburned my esophagus. And I liked it." A bit of WILD RICE on the side. 'Cause Chili like to party!
