The job is a mix of making tofu, soymilk, herbal tea and grass jelly, plus helping with sales and customers up front.

🎨 Apparently, Fong On is not just a tofu factory… it’s also a tiny art collective. 😄

It just so happens that quite a few of our team members are artists and photographers. You may see them behind the register, serving you your tofu pudding, or working behind the scenes in production, and then discover that they also make beautiful art.

🎉 7 Years on 81 Division Street!

Seven years ago, we opened our doors on Division Street — and what a journey it has been!

For over 90 years, since 1933, the Eng family has been making fresh tofu and soy milk every day, keeping the traditions and recipes passed down through four generations.

And perhaps what makes us happiest is seeing familiar faces come back — sometimes with their children, grandchildren, and even great-grandchildren. ❤️

From one generation to the next, we’re grateful to be a small part of New York’s everyday life.

Thank you for 7 wonderful years on Division Street — and for being part of our story since 1933!

P.S. Meet Kim Chan Eng in the first photo. She is 93 years young and part of the second generation of our family to run Fong On. ❤️
