• For this weeks ‘Bake of week appreciation post’, we have an icon. Seeing as it’s British food fortnight in the mother land, what better bake to celebrate with the one who is so famous, it has protected status!
Dating back some 700 years, people from all over tell US the story of where the crimped edges came from!
A proper filling, comforting bake, whose popularity booms as soon as the autumn months creep in. The Cornish (style) Pasty.
- Ground beef, mashed potatoes, and veg (carrots, onions and peas) are wrapped in a puff pastry, crimped and baked to create the most comforting, delicious pasty.
- A customer once likened it to a ’hug’ because of its protein and carb packed filling and luxe puff, giving that comforting, cozy feeling.
- Do we have many Cornish fans in the house?
