This time last year, I had the pleasure of dining at with my son, and it was one of the best dining experiences of my life.
Then this summer, we had the opportunity to return — this time working alongside and to capture photos of Kazu’s extraordinary mango sorbet and other signature dishes made with Coco Cubes Fresh Pressed Coconut Cream.
From these two masters of their crafts, I learned two lasting lessons: professionalism and perseverance. The professionalism was unmistakable — both Kazu and Alexander move with focus, calm, and total command of their domain, whether at the sushi counter or in the middle of an impromptu photo shoot.
But above all, perseverance. Neither of their journeys was a straight or easy path. Both faced major obstacles, traveled across the world in pursuit of opportunity, and never stopped learning. Even now, they continue to innovate, push boundaries, and meet new challenges head-on.
