This one has a little history… ❤️

When Jorge and I first met, we worked together and usually got home really late. We used to pick up an onion dip we loved, sit at home after work, snack on it and talk for hours.

We were still getting to know each other then.

Then Luigi, Jorge’s brother and one of our chefs here at Piccola, made this caramelized onion dip. One bite and suddenly, we were right back in those days.

Funny how food does that. A taste, a smell, one bite… and suddenly you remember exactly where you were, who you were with, and what life felt like then.

Now our Caramelized Onion Dip is in the fridge at Piccola 😍

There’s something a little funny about making fresh pasta and sauces from scratch all day long…

There’s a lot that happens before a tray of fresh pasta or a jar of sauce ever reaches the shop fridge.

And then someone takes it home and in ten minutes it’s dinner.

We kind of love that.

Because that’s really the point.

All the work happens here so life can feel a little easier there.

A busy Tuesday.
Kids asking what’s for dinner.
Friends coming over last minute.
Someone you love pouring a glass of wine…

Fresh pasta and delicious homemade sauces is what we make (+ a million of other things).

But making dinner feel simple, special and worth sitting down for — that’s the part we care about most ❤️🤌

When we say fresh, we mean it 💪

Our shelves are filled the night before.

Fresh pasta being made from scratch, sauces on the stove, jars being filled, and shelves being stocked.

It’s more work, for sure…

… but we think you can taste the difference ❤️

Same Tortellini, three shades of green.

We played with different amounts of spinach in the pasta dough to create this little gradient — from barely green to deep spinach green — all filled with our ricotta & spinach filling.

Because sometimes pasta should be as pretty as it is delicious. 💚
