My name is Jake Wilson. Iโm a U.S. Marine. During an intense battle, an explosion changed my life forever. I lost my hearing in both earsโฆ and the world I once knew fell into complete silence. I survivedโbut coming home was a different kind of fight.
Silence isnโt peaceful when itโs forced on you. I couldnโt hear conversations, laughter, or even the simplest sounds of everyday life. Communicating became difficult. People would repeat themselves, then slowly stop trying. Some lost patience. Others kept their distance.
And then there was the PTSD. Even without sound, my body still remembered everything. Crowds made me uneasy. Sudden movements triggered memories I couldnโt escape. Nights were the hardestโsleep rarely came easy. I started to withdrawโฆ staying at home, avoiding the outside world, feeling lost and disconnected.
But in my darkest moments, I found strength through my Christian faith. Through prayer, I rediscovered hope. God reminded me that even in silence, I was never truly alone.
To keep myself from falling apart, I began working with my hands in a small workshop. Thatโs where these handmade wooden bullet pens were born.
Each pen is carefully crafted by handโshaping the natural wood, polishing every surface, and assembling each component one piece at a time.
No factory. No mass production. Just wood, metal, tools, and patience.
Working with my hands taught me something important: strength doesnโt always have to be loud. Sometimes itโs quietโฆ steadyโฆ and built over time.
Every wooden bullet pen carries a reminder of resilienceโthe strength to keep moving forward, even when life changes forever. The natural wood represents growth. The bullet-inspired design represents courage. The craftsmanship represents the journey of rebuilding, one small piece at a time.
Every pen I create carries more than craftsmanshipโit carries a story of faith, perseverance, and a second chance at life.
My mission is bigger than just making handmade products. 30% of all proceeds go toward helping injured veterans, especially those facing invisible battles like PTSD, to find strength and purpose again.
Your support means more than you know. Itโs not just a purchaseโitโs a way to stand with someone who is still learning how to move forward.
Thank you for being part of this journey. May God bless you. ๐
