To our valued team members, guests, and suppliers:
It has been a wonderful experience getting to know and work with you to provide our community with amazing local and specialty produce, grocery, deli food and services. We are so grateful for the relationships we have built and have learned a tremendous amount over the last three and a half years. As it stands, our lease is expiring at the end of next month, and this has provided us with a moment to pause and reflect upon our business model and how it may grow with the changing times to better serve you. Newcastle Produce has operated out of its location for nearly 25 years. Our building needs to be remodeled and updated, and the business needs to be refocused accordingly. After careful consideration, we have determined it is time for a change and hope to reopen with an updated format.
We have been exploring various scenarios such as operating out of a new location or refreshing our existing space. The grocery and produce offerings will be scaled back to provide only the highest quality products emphasizing local and specialty producers. The cafe and deli will further embrace our farm to fork roots and offer a rotating menu that reflects the seasonality of what is grown in Placer County, complete with dishes to pair with featured wines, beers, and ciders from our area. With negotiations, remodel plans, and permitting yet to follow, we cannot provide a reopen date at this time. The remodel is expected to include updated finishes, a refresh of interior and exterior spaces including expanded dining area and outdoor patio. We plan to close the store on September 14th with a limited offering of our café and deli items during this transition. During this time, we will also be selling off our retail inventory at 50% off (certain exclusions apply) as we cannot hold onto our merchandise during the remodel. Please come by and take advantage of the sales and help support Newcastle Produce at the same time.
We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this causes the community. We also ask for your patience through this transition period, especially with our valued staff who work so hard every day to serve you. We thank them all so much and our suppliers and customers as well. It has been our pleasure serving you and we look forward to the opportunity to do so again.

Thank you very much for your support.
