We are moving towards Fall! This is the last August market and the next one is Labor Day! Most of us, as usual, are not ready for it. Winter squash has made its first appearance. Some of us gave Judy and Carl a hard time for displaying it before September but it looked good! And we had better get used to it! It has been a weird year, some crops have excelled, some were late, some were early and some just did not arrive. As we move into Fall and think about preserving crops for winter (yes, really) there are plenty of beans, summer squash, lots of eggplants, hot and green peppers, and tons of tomatoes. Plenty more on the vine although it is hard to guess if they will have enough ripening time.
Apparently there are hundreds of interesting recipes to use green tomatoes.

We put vendors on the list below and attempt to keep up with their schedules, weather aberrations and life! Sometimes we succeed and the list is perfect, usually it is not! You will however, find most of the products listed. This is the best time of the year when produce is coming fast and the list grows. Happy shopping, and thank you for buying locally. It is important to support our community resources.
