🚨 BREAKING: Welcome to Michigan’s final boss level — I-75 / I-94 / I-696… a.k.a. The Detroit Decision. 🚗💀
You’ve got about 0.3 seconds to decide:
Stay on 75, cut across three lanes for 94, swing toward 696… or accidentally end up in Ohio and start questioning your entire life. 😭
The sign says “EXIT ONLY” but what it really means is:
“Good luck… you’ve been training for this your whole life.”
Every car is doing 80… except one doing 55 like they’re enjoying a Pure Michigan scenic tour.
Meanwhile a Charger flies past you at Mach 3 like they’ve memorized every lane since 2002.
And behind you?
Somebody riding your bumper like it’s legally required.
Try to change lanes?
That’s funny.
Because:
• The lane you’re in suddenly becomes exit-only
• The lane next to you is under construction (since 2009)
• And the lane you need is blocked by a line of cars that haven’t moved since last winter
The road curves.
Then dips.
Then hits you with a bridge that feels like it’s testing your suspension personally.
Concrete barriers on both sides.
A semi drifting just a little too close.
No shoulder.
No mercy.
Just vibes… and aggressive Michigan driving.
Construction barrels? Everywhere.
Workers? Mythical.
Just cones, steel plates, uneven pavement, and a sign that says “EXPECT DELAYS” like you weren’t born into this. 🦺
Google Maps: “Keep left.”
Left immediately turns into a ramp you did NOT mean to take.
Waze: “Recalculating…”
Passenger: “Wasn’t that it?”
Yeah. That was it.
Now add Michigan weather.
It starts cloudy.
Then rain.
Then wind.
Then somehow snow in April like Michigan said “just for fun.” ❄️🌧️
The road looks fine?
That’s a trap.
Because Michigan doesn’t have potholes…
it has craters.
Deep.
Wide.
Unexpected.
The kind that makes your alignment file for unemployment.
One lane swerves.
Another brakes.
And one car? Still doing 85 like they’ve accepted fate. 😭
Welcome to Michigan driving —
where the roads are under construction, the lanes are suggestions, and your suspension is in a long-term battle.
And if you miss your exit?
Congratulations.
You’re going to Ohio. 🚗💀
