SNAPDRAGONS coming in hot!! You guys, have you heard about cold hardy annuals? If you are like most people you think of annuals as something you buy at the nursery to put in pots on your front porch in summer. But there are certain annuals that can tolerate cold! I did an experiment last year and started these Snapdragons in late summer from seed indoors. I transplanted them in early fall and left them to overwinter in the garden. No cover of any kind. They started blooming today and look MUCH better than my Spring planted Snaps!! For reference I’m zone 6A(ish) SW Michigan. And we had an EXTREMELY cold winter!! I’m so excited to see all the different varieties bloom!!

The door is installed!! I was supposed to have a helper today, but he couldn’t make it so I did this all by myself! It will be a dream to have an automatic chicken door!!

I did it! All by myself!! My helper didn’t come today so I had to figure this out by myself. Installing the door was easy, cutting a hole in the shed was not quite as easy! The chicks are getting BIG so I have to get this done, pronto! I’m also in the middle of a laundry and bathroom remodel so things are a “little” crazy right now 🤪🤪

Almost done! Just need netting over the top and install the chicken door!
