Our spring garden was awesome! Our summer garden is proving to be just as good. We picked our first zucchini of the season (I know it's later than most, but it's ok). Our tomatoes have been yummy. Blueberries are still putting out a few every other day. Our peaches ripened faster than expected and ended up wormy. We'll need to fix that next year. We did get to enjoy a few. Sunflowers are beautiful and some little wildflowers have popped up. Not pictured, we have 5 little watermelons finally coming along. Praying they hurry up before the season is long gone.
Tonight we are watching a little bonfire on a much cooler evening, in our screened tent, to keep the bugs away, and enjoying listening to the tree frogs. Country life is the best!

We don't post enough about our kitty Butterscotch. She's about 9 1/2 years old and still full of personality. She sleeps...

We don't post enough about our kitty Butterscotch. She's about 9 1/2 years old and still full of personality. She sleeps wherever she wants to all day, then goes out at night to keep the mice population down in and around the barn.

For those who haven't heard yet, This Little Farm Girl is a fantastic athlete as well! She earned a silver metal 🥈 at the mini javelin throw at State in Bloomington last weekend. We are beyond proud of her.

Our little volunteer sunflower has bloomed. She's little but, oh so cute! 🌻And the amount of blueberries this year has been phenomenal. At first there were a few every couple of days. But now we're getting a small harvest every few days. I'm eating them as fast as I pick them. 🫐😋

So someone had her Sweet 16 a few days ago. She might not be little anymore, but she'll always be my Little Farm Girl.

This is the most we've ever had in fruit on our trees and bushes! I'm so excited! We only have had a few peaches 🧡 in the past. This year the tree is loaded! Praying they don't get knocked off by wind. Our apple tree ❤️ looks promising again, as does the pear tree.💚 My biggest surprise was the amount of strawberries 🩷 we have picked (bowls and bowls of them, though slowing down now). AND our blueberries!💙 Oh my! My hubby put fencing around the bushes and I'd say that has helped. We picked a few ripe ones today, but anticipating more! Also our tomatoes ❤️ are looking good and the two volunteer sunflowers. 💛
I can't wait to see what else blooms this summer. 🌸🌷🌹🏵️🌼🪻🌻
