My friends began asking, "Why do you got to make everything so hot?"

Another friend asked if I can make a salsa a mild salsa. I thought for a moment and I figured I'd never made a salsa but I could sure give it a try I love Tex-Mex and Mexican food. The creative wheels began to turn and I started hunting up different people's ideas and then of course I had to make it my own.

I finished making the salsa and it came out better than I had assumed it would and then I had to come up with a name. Everything I make is so spicy and and spicy is easy to name but I never had a thought about making mild anything. So here we go into the world of mild and salsa.

Our friend at church bought a couple jars from me and she cracked it open and she told me it was yummy and when telling our other friends she said it will not disappoint. So now we're introducing Papa Made a Mild? Corn lime salsa mild

First five jars of "Papa's Fiery Pickles" for this year are being canned as I'm posting this! I probably won't put this batch on the Etsy store but soon we will have an abundance!

So the garden is starting up with new flavors in my mind. We planted a fig tree which was a cut from my pastor's tree which was his father's fig tree, and it's beginning to grow leaves. I plan on making a spicy fig jam and balsamic vinegar based hot sauce using jalapenos this year.

And Amma just transplanted my gherkin cucumber plants into our back yard so hopefully soon we'll be making spicy and fiery pickles again but this time with smaller pickles so they don't get soft as quickly this year.

Finally we also planted a blueberry bush and getting ready to plant grapes for more fun spicy recipes.

Our first time setting up a table was a hit! Our neighborhood was having a Craft/Bake Sale and we pulled out the "Sweet Heat" jam and shared our favorite cream cheese topper with everyone including a bee 🐝 who I think was attracted to the honey used in our jam.

Our newest pepper jelly is a hit! Cracked open the jar for the first time last night to share with friends. The women thought it was super hot and the men barely grunted, but it was still a grunt nonetheless.
