Who would have known what started as a high school part-time job would turn into my lifelong passion and career. My start in the business was working for one of the pioneers of the New York bagel industry, Arthur Goldberg, at the Bagel Fair in Paramus, N.J. In 1989, using recipes that date to Brooklyn, NY circa 1946, I opened my own family business, Monroe Bagels & Deli in New York state. We now pursue our mission of providing good food and friendly service in the beautiful town of North Conway, NH. We thank you for your patronage. David Hausman (Big Dave)

We are not taking any more catering orders for next weekend as we are fully booked. This is the busiest Fall catering season that we have ever had. If you have any catering orders to place between now and the end of October, I would highly recommend contacting me at [email protected] as soon as possible. I see a likelihood of us closing the books on a couple of other weekends soon 😀

On a day that I began with a very heavy heart, I gifted myself a trip up to our local high school. They hold an annual assembly to recruit students for various service organizations. Spending time with tomorrow’s leaders always fills my cup. Four years ago, I sat at this table by myself literally begging students to listen to me. Today I sat and watched the student leaders run the entire table and sign up 90 students for Kennett Best Buddies !!!
To see an organization that believes “we all belong” thrive in our schools was just what the doctor ordered today ♥️
