Hey everyone,

My short vacation is now over. Last week I helped cater the 40th Anniversary of Newark High's Class of '73. It was a blast. I made 4 gallons of tomato sauce, 7 trays of baked ziti, eggplant parm and grilled veggies and onions.
Weather permitting, I'll be back at the stand on Tuesday, August 13. See you then.

Well, the stand opened up today. Two weeks behind schedule...thanks rainstorms and hail... and it went pretty well. We have potatoes, onions, tomatoes, peppers,....the whole guinea garden. The watermelons and cantaloupes are sweet as can be.
Of course I brought home a huge assortment of veggies. The star of tonight's meal was sausage with peppers & onions and of course... corn. It was terrific.
This year I promise to figure out TWITTER and all this social media stuff to bring you up to date on what's special this week as well as recipes and some special attractions we're thinking about.
We'll be open this weekend of course, 12 - 6. Hope to see you there. By the way, we're thinking of expanding Sunday hours to 9am - 6pm. I'll keep you posted.

We're opening up today. Been a rough spring but despite hail and heat, the stand will be opening today around 2 - 3 pm. Can't wait to see you all.

Hey Everyone,
Just a quick update on the stand. Ted has planted five sets of corn and has put a lot of stuff in the garden. We're even trying watermelon and canteloupes. OY!
I'll let you know when opening day approaches and don't forget we have MIMI, the pruduce bus. If any of you have a plant or office building where we can bring fresh produce to a larger audience, let me know via email or facebook. I promise I'll get that to look better.
Here is to a great and healthy summer through fresh produce.
