All the ripe black raspberries and most of the red we completely picked out today. More should b e ripe in two days. I wouldn’t stop by Sunday to pick.

Black raspberries are looking really good for picking on Saturday, red are also good but are still hiding in the canes. The second patch of red raspberries is just starting to ripen.

Raspberry update,
All the ripe red and black raspberries were picked today. The next day for good picking should be Saturday Aug 29th. Reminder the farm will be closed on Friday Aug 28th.

Important farm schedule update and crop update.
The farm needs to be closed on Friday the 28th and will re-open on Saturday and be open every day until I need to close it on Wednesday September 9th then it will go back to the normal schedule.
For tomorrow the red and black raspberries should be in good supply, the red are a little hidden and may have to lift canes to pick them. We still have good green beans but the dear are really eating them down. There are two locations the older planting next to the eggplant and the larger planting past the red raspberries. The tiny plum tomatoes and yellow slicing tomatoes are in good supply the other tomatoes are a bit limited. Hot peppers are plentiful, green peppers are small.
I reduced the price again on tomatoes, slicing $1.40 a lb, plum $1 a lb.

Crop update,
VERY limited amount of red raspberries and NO black raspberries for Saturday. Beans, eggplant, hot peppers and sunflowers are in good supply. Slicing tomatoes are ok, limited amount of cherry tomatoes. I caught the “thieves“ in the act of eating all the sweet treat tomatoes this evening. Bell peppers are small. No zucchini or cucumbers.

Black raspberries are in good supply and very large, its a quarter underneath the black raspberry pictured. Red raspberries are in ok supply, they are also large but a lot of them are hidden in the foliage.

Crop update,
Red and black raspberries are in better supply than last week but may all get picked by the late afternoon. The black raspberries need to be completely black to be sweet, purple ones have no flavor. Slicing tomatoes are in good supply, cherry tomatoes are limited. Green beans and hot peppers are good. Green bell peppers are small. A few zucchini are available. Watermelon and cucumbers are done for the year. I’ve reduced the price a little bit on beans and tomatoes again this week.

Raspberry update,
A few quarts of black raspberries are available for picking and there are a few more quarts of red that ripened today. The red are in the patch of short canes towards the back of the farm.

Crop and price update,
The tomatoes are plentiful so I have dropped the price of the cherry and slicing tomatoes to $2 per lb. Since the plum tomatoes are so small I dropped the price of them to $1.33 per lb.
Green beans are in good supply and now $1.85 per lb. Critters were getting the watermelon so I had to pick the last of them tonight and set them on the counter for sale. Eggplant are plentiful there are a few zucchini and cucumbers available. Plenty of sunflowers. The raspberries are starting to slowly ripen. Just a couple quarts of red. Hot peppers are plentiful, green bell are limited.
