Farm and crop update,
I’m hoping to open for the season on June 20th with red raspberries and maybe sugar snap peas.
Frost took out most of the blueberry crop. I’m estimating only about 25% of a normal harvest this year. Winter took out the entire crop of blackberries. Black raspberries should be normal. Red raspberries crop will be light do to me removing a field that was losing production. I planted a new field of them but it will be next before I get a light crop from them, after two years red raspberries should be back to normal. Vegetables are looking good. I added broccoli to the garden and doubled the amount of eggplant. The location of the vegetables are all over the farm because of the raspberry field replanting. The zucchini, cucumber and watermelon( new this year) are up by the road. The peppers are between the remaining red raspberries and blackberries. The tomatoes are were I removed the red raspberries. I left the sod between the rows. I have planted green beans for four weeks so far. I also have multiple weeks of sunflowers planted. I will have two categories of sunflowers, the common ones that will still be one free for each person that visits the farm with additional ones sold for very reasonable prices and fancier ones.

Farm closing extension,
The farm is in the soft close phase this week. Any remaining vegetables are just $1.25 per bag. And quarts of raspberries are $1.25. I think with the rain and the extra irrigation water I sent to the black raspberries., there should be some quality ones ripening mid week. Sorry I don’t have pictures. Also no change is available. Please cash or Venmo only. The farm will hard close on Sunday September 28th.

Farm and crop update,
This is the last week the farm will be open on a normal schedule. After Sunday the 21at. I will still have some quart containers and produce bags out if anyone wants to go after the last stuff to ripen. Attached is a new end of season price list. Black raspberries continue to ripen but slower than expected. Red raspberries are small and very limited. Bell peppers are medium to small size but plentiful, hot peppers look good. Tons of Jalapeño. Yellow cherry and early girl look ok. It’s a hunt to find good Roma of slicing tomatoes. Sunflowers still look good.

Farm and crop update,
The farm will close for the year on Sept. 20th
Black raspberries are ripening slower then expected but there should be about the same amount as last Wednesday. Just a few red raspberries are available. Tomatoes are slow to ripen. I think only yellow cherry and early girl are in good supply. Peppers are in ok supply but are smaller. I’ve reduced the price for peppers and tomatoes and have bulk pricing for peppers BUT you will need to bring your own peck or half bushel container. Depending on the peppers size it still might be cheaper by the piece.

Raspberry update,
The black raspberries are looking good and should be plentiful for Wednesday. Red raspberries are still available but since they are smaller and will take longer to pick I’m reducing there price to $4.50 a quart( black raspberries are still $5.75 a quart). Red cherry tomatoes are still limited and I think green beans are done for the year. I’m not sure about peppers ( it was late when I got home from work today). Sunflowers are still really nice. I also reduced there price of tomatoes 10 cents per weight tier.

Crop update,
This looks like the last good/ok week for red raspberry picking. Black raspberries are starting to ripen faster and are available for picking but are still days from being plentiful. Tomatoes and bell peppers are looking good. The last row and maybe the second to last row of green beans look good. Hot peppers are in ok supply but the hot wax are a little on the small side. Just 12 jars of the mixed blossom honey are left.
