All Good Things Must Come to an End

July 31, 2026 will be the last day you will find THE GOB at 232 Zimmerman St. After 8 years, 8 months 16 days we will be turning the lights off and handing the keys back to the landlord.

It’s been a fun ride. Thankful for all the support through the years, good conversations and the majority of people we’ve dealt with. I sincerely hope we provided what we set out to give-Quality Products, Fair Prices and a bit of an experience. You have left me with many stories to ponder and hopefully share as time goes by.

Reasons don’t matter. It’s time. Karma/life has a way of being in control. If seven decades hadn’t taught me anything else it has taught me Karma always has its way.

On June 11th I’ll be taking a forced break from society for a as of yet undetermined length of time. I say a week or two, WD says months. (July 31st doesn’t allow months!). No, I’m not going to be the guest of local, state or federal entities. Just paying Karma back for past living the way I chose.

On the other side of this, if you come by the Shop and the Red Canyon is there-stop by. There will be an “Everything’s got to go Sale” going on. Where No Reasonable Offer will be Refused.

Or just to give me a chance to say

Thank You.

Dinner tonight-Joey G's Sauce Company Salt, Pepper &Garlic Rub(bed) Tri-Tip from J.C. Heitman Farm, LLC and Deviled Egg Potato Salad made with eggs from Cluckin' Hen Poultry Farm and Sweet Cajun Relish and brine from M&M Pickles, Inc..

It’s easy to talk about products you use regularly and makes for great meals. The Roasted Garlic from the rub adds to the flavor and tenderness of the beef. If you’ve never spiced up egg/potato salad, use your favorite M&M Pickle for a difference. And quality of eggs does make a difference you can taste.

Come find us at Wilson Community Farmers Market on Tuesday nights, West Shore Market in Akron starting Jun 4th, Genesee Country Farmers' Market in Batavia on Fridays and North Tonawanda City Market on Saturday.

Tonight’s snack-Red Non-GMO Popcorn from Meyer's Homegrown.
