This week, we celebrate National Farmer's Market Week! Farmer’s Markets promote local sustainability, enhance the local economy, support rural livelihoods, and more! Our area is fortunate to offer several Farmer’s Market’s throughout the community. If you have not already done so, I highly encourage you to check one out this weekend!

North Wales Farmers Market – Every Sunday – 9:00am-1:00pm
Ambler Farmers' Market – Every Saturday – 9:00am-12:00pm
Lansdale Farmers' Market – Every Sunday – 9:00am-12:30pm

Join us this Sunday as North Wales Farmers Market celebrates National Farmers Market Week (August 2-8) and reflects on our community’s first market season.

Spanning thousands of years and cultures across the globe, farmers markets are rooted in our past, present, and future. Adaptable, flexible, and durable, farmers markets show up for their communities during times of crisis, celebration, and everything in between.

Farmers markets don’t just happen. They are abundant sources of food, connection and resilience in our communities, but they don’t just happen on their own. Behind the scenes of every successful farmers market is a dedicated person or team working to make the market thrive.

Markets are also changing the way we eat, shop, and connect. Across the country, farmers markets are defining their role in our communities. Markets are not only essential to local food systems, but they also increase opportunities for us to learn, grow, and work together.

Farmers markets are designed in partnership with the people they serve and create a space where market operators, farmers, shoppers, and neighbors can collaborate to meet the evolving
needs of their community.

These weekly markets serve as community hubs. Farmers markets foster direct relationships between community members and farmers which can work to create a more fair and sustainable food system.
