We are incredibly grateful to the Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation (SMIF) for helping us support our local farmers! 🚜

Through their generous grant, we’ve been able to provide vendor fee discounts to many of our farmer vendors. Farming is a labor of love, but it also comes with massive uncertainties—from unpredictable weather to fluctuating market prices that are entirely out of our farmers' control. These scholarships make participating in the market much more accessible and sustainable.

When we support our farmers, we secure fresh, local food for our entire community. Thank you, SMIF, for lifting up our vendors and helping our market thrive! 🧑‍🌾

We are so grateful to Northfield Shares - Northfield MN Community Foundation for awarding us a grant to support our Farm to Families program! Thanks to their generous funding, we’ve already been able to donate 160 pounds of fresh produce to the Community Action Center - Northfield food shelf this summer!

Our Farm to Families program is a true win-win-win:

👩‍🌾 Supporting local farmers: At the end of each market, we purchase leftover produce from our vendors at a bulk rate, putting more well-deserved cash in their pockets.

🌱 Fighting food waste: Beautiful, nourishing food stays out of the compost and goes right where it’s needed most.

🥕 Feeding our neighbors: Families visiting the CAC food shelf get access to fresh, locally grown, and nutrient-dense produce.

Thank you, Northfield Shares, for helping us strengthen our local food system and support our neighbors!
