Hello to our Seiberling Farm Friends & Followers.

We had a beautiful Sunday with lovely weather!

This week a brush hog received much needed attention & new blades. It’s mowing better than ever!

We had an evening this week when we just had to get some ground prepped for the next morning. Thankfully we have headlights so if the sun sets we can keep working.

We finished up the drip tube irrigation for the produce field and used the potato digger to bury part of the line so we are not constantly running over it with all the vehicles that need to go back into the field.

Farm Guys Zach, Chase & Alex put in a full day today with Farmer Jane & Farmer Vic getting the Cucumbers, Yellow Squash, Zucchini, Pickles & all the extra peppers we had into the ground.

Hello to all our Seiberling Farm Friends & Followers.

Despite the weather being uncooperative we managed to get work done this week.

The first planting of Milky Way sweet corn (our white variety) is in the ground along with more of our Bi Color varieties.

Farmer Brad planted corn & put in the first 4 rows of Green Beans while Farmer Jane, Farmer Vic & Farm Gals Clare, Hollie & Sophia transplanted Eggplant, Tomatoes, Hungarian Medium Hot, Green, Sweet Yellow Hot Banana & Jalapeño Peppers.

Hello to all our Seiberling Farm Friends & Followers.

We started planting the first sweet corn field May 4th.

We saw the corn germinating May 10th & the first planting emerged the 16th.

We have approximately 23 acres of sweet corn planted despite the inclement weather conditions.

The sickle bar mower is up & running thanks to Farmer Vic & Farmer Brad! It has already come in handy & will be a great asset during the season!

Farmer Vic, Farmer Jane & Farm Gal Clare planted all the cabbage & the drip tube irrigation for the produce was hooked up by Farmer Vic & Farmer Jane.

Today all the rest of the greenhouse plants were pulled out & will be planted in the produce field by the end of this week we hope!

We appreciate the prompt response of the Norton Fire Department to the tractor fire at the farm. Fortunately no one was injured.

This Case 1394 tractor has been a part of our farm for nearly 50 years.

We are deeply saddened that this old reliable workhorse is no longer operational.

Hello to all our Seiberling Farm Friends & Followers.

We have had a busy week at the farm!

Farmer Brad & Farmer Vic worked on plowing the fields & Farmer Jane helped with starting the plastic laying in the produce field. They also overhauled equipment that needed it & still have more projects in the works.

It took 3 days & 3 dedicated crews working with Farmer Jane to get 6 rows of white & red Candy Onions planted! Yesterday was very muddy & we had quite a few laughs!

We also came up with ways to use the things we find in the Polaris (zip tie & a lynch pin) to keep the wireless speaker with us all the time so we can also enjoy music while planting!

One of the onion crew girls found a baby turtle in the produce field. We are not certain of species but Google images said a painted turtle yet wasn’t specific as to exactly what type. All the types did say they liked ponds & marshy areas so we took it & released it by the pond.

Hello to all our Farm Friends and Followers and welcome to the start of our 2026 season.

A full greenhouse is a beautiful sight, and seeing the cabbage popping yesterday was great!
