Out of an abundance of caution, the board of directors for the North Central Whidbey Farmers Markets has decided to close the Oak Harbor Farmers Market today, 7/16/2026.

There has been lightning strikes in the area and there is a prediction of more strikes throughout the evening. It would not be safe to be out in the park under metal framed tents in these conditions.

The shed is in its new home.

Thanks to the Town of Coupeville, the Central Whidbey Lions Club, and Sunbelt Rentals of Oak Harbor it took 1.5 hours to move and level the shed.

This new location will make it so much easier to set up andctear down the farmers market.

Join us this Saturday, July 18, 2026 for our annual Community Day on the green.

In 2026 we are honoring Peg Tennant whose contributions to our community farmers markets are woven into the fabric of who we are.

Our community farmers markets take great effort by many people, businesses, and partner organizations to operate every single year. In honor of those folks who make our markets happen, we have created the Heart of the Market award.

We also recognize that as time goes on, we have lost many members of our community who have loved and supported our farmers markets.

This award will be given annually to one person for each market location that has embodied the spirit of our community farmers markets while honoring a significant member who is no longer with us.

Join us on Saturday, July 18th, 2026 at noon and on Thursday, August 20th at 5:30 pm as we honor Peg and her legacy in our markets.
