One of the best sights after winter is watching bees return to the hive with their little pollen pockets packed full of bright yellow, orange, or even red pollen. It means something exciting is happening inside the hive…The queen has started laying eggs again, and the colony is preparing for spring.

Pollen is incredibly important - it’s the main protein source for the hive and is used to feed growing baby bees. This is a sign that flowers are blooming and a brand-new generation of bees is on the way. 💛🌼🐝
