Important CalFresh Update

Due to the ongoing federal government shutdown, CalFresh (SNAP) benefits are set to lapse starting November 1. This means new funds will not be added to EBT cards at the beginning of the month.

💳 You can continue using any remaining balance on your EBT card.
�🥕 Market Match will still be available at all Urban Village Farmers’ Markets, including Temescal, so you can stretch your food dollars for fresh fruits and vegetables.

If you or someone you know needs extra support, local food banks are here to help. You can call 2-1-1 for food assistance and local services in your area.

Big News, Temescal!

Things have felt a little different at the market lately, and we want to thank you for sticking with us through these changes. Transitions like this make way for fresh energy and the next generation of amazing regenerative farmers!

We are so excited to welcome two incredible certified organic farms starting this Sunday, 9/21/25:

🍅 Dirty Girl Produce (Santa Cruz County)�Famous for their dry-farmed tomatoes, specialty produce, strawberries, and an amazing variety of fresh and dried beans.

🥬 King Ranch (Watsonville, CA)�Bringing organic lettuces, beautiful greens, cucumbers, herbs, fennel, carrots, and so much more.

💳 Great news: EBT and Market Match are back up and running! Please help spread the word so everyone in our community has access to fresh, healthy food.
