We are looking for a porter. Here is an opportunity to work with a small culinary crew that produces Ocala's highest quality of food to join the team, great hours and good starting pay.
Job Summary:
To be fully responsible for the cleanliness of the dishes in the kitchen: pots pans silverware, dishware, glassware. The porter (aka dishwasher) is responsible for the cleanliness as well as maintaining the dishes in the correct storage area. Taking out the garbage as needed throughout the shift. Supporting Chef on Duty.
Main Duties:
Maintains Service Standards.
Greets all guests with a smile, eye-contact, enthusiasm and friendliness.
Maintains a professional appearance at all times.
Reports to work as scheduled, well groomed, and ready to be in position.
Maintains professional relationships with all coworkers and guests.
Follows checklists and standard operating procedures.
Maintains a safe, clean, organized, and stocked work area.
Cleaning pots pans silverware, dishware, glassware with care.
Stocking pots pans silverware, dishware, glassware with care.
Removing waste from all bins throughout shift.
Mopping whenever necessary.
Maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen.
Performs other tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
Required Skills/Qualifications
1+ years work experience preferred.
Ability to focus and prioritize during high business levels.
Ability to quickly perform necessary duties.
Ability to react quickly when faced with unusual scenarios.
Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
Willingness to help in any capacity needed regarding this position.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects with hands.
Must be able to move, pull, carry or lift at least 30 pounds.
Must be able to occasionally kneel, bend, reach, push, twist, walk, crouch, climb and squat as required.
Must be able to stand, walk, lift, and bend for long periods of time.
Occasional environmental exposures to cold, heat, and water.
