Screw worm spray is an aerosol insecticide used on livestock to kill existing maggots in wounds, repel flies, and prevent new infestations. Most formulations (such as Catron IV or Neogen Prozap) contain 0.5% permethrin and typically include a violet dye to easily mark treated wounds.
