🩵💙 Hello Okanogan Farmstand Friends! One year ago today was my last day of business in the farming and food line of work. I was reflecting on the 7 year journey of the Farmstand and the 22 year stretch of 8th Street Greens. I was thinking of many of you, some of whom were with me the whole 22 years, some who visited me weekly ever since I went to Wednesdays only, and some of you who just discovered me/the store the week that I was closing! ... I recognize that you, the producers I worked with and my amazing friends/employees celebrated the existence of my farm and/or my store and I so appreciate all the investing you did in the hopes for longevity of business for the community. I myself did the same. I miss the convenient, good specialty foods and the good people 🤗💞
I continue to celebrate that I closed the doors. While I miss many of you I do not miss the immense pressure of being a low income business owner who, despite sooo many awesome shoppers and supporters, did not have the capital needed to operate properly nor complete the full dream! 💥The Farmstand property is still for sale, tho not listed with a realtor.💥 I'm continuing to attend some workshops and am still a Reiki practitioner who is expanding into sound healing personal sessions and other modalities. I love travelling and seeing my kids through their teenage years. I'm also enjoying longer visits with my closest friends.
The main point here: Hello! I am still SOOO GRATEFUL FOR YOU and OUR OKANOGAN COMMUNITY 🥰 All the best to closing 2024 and launching 2025 💖

Did you know that I’ve spent the past 2.5 years attending numerous wellness workshops and studying reiki?!! I am a level 3 Master Reiki Practitioner who has gifted and shared 40 sessions with friends! I am now building my wellness practice and am so grateful for all the positive feedback and support so far. My in person trainings and certifications with Nicole Hutto were profound and life changing. Huge thanks to Colette Jones for sharing her studio space with me to see Reiki Clients.

In honor and gratitude for the constant reciprocating support of 22 years in local food business with 8th Street Greens and then Okanogan Farmstand I had this art commissioned. I shared some words with Kjir Flones, the artist… river, hills, crops, farmers, people eating, vibrant energy, thankfulness - she took it from there! 💛🧡💚💙
My Heart overflows when I think of crew members… employees… customers… weekly customers voting with their choices… local producers… and managers… who bought from me and sold to me - from Ellisforde to Mazama… little kids who grew up on the the food we grew, sourced, made…
I am thankful for the experience. Thank you self and thank you community 🦋🎉💞
