BTW .... Today is national WATERMELON DAY!
Another hot one down in Rush Springs on monday. 105Β°+. Most all the farmers are getting ready for the Rush Springs watermelon festival this Saturday weekend, so we are pleased to have a pretty good selection today but we may not get any towards the very end of the week.
We should have some of the amazing Delta Sweets, sweet dawn, Orange crisp and orange crush, and a few yellow flesh watermelons.
We should also have some sweet Lily crenshaws and some fantastic only hours old cantaloupe.
Because it's the Rush Springs festival week, I might even bring up a few of the old time black diamonds. But no guarantees.
A specific detailed list of what we have available will be published tomorrow morning when we head up to Oklahoma City

If, by any chance, you get a watermelon or cantaloupe from THE LOT and it doesn't do all of these 3 things, please let us know, and we will try our best to make you happy and 100% customer satisfied.
There are many peddlers out there that are selling different watermelons and cantaloupes and some of them are absolutely fantastic, sweet tasting, and grown in different places around the state some of them from out of state hopefully not too many for mexico, that's a different story. But all of our melons and cantaloupe come from RUSH SPRINGS. I can tell you the field and the row that they are planted and grown and picked from. And yes there is a difference, if they're grown up on the high ridges or in the lower areas. But the main thing is they get plenty of that Sunshine from Rush Springs and an adequate supply of water to grow great tasting melons. A watermelon is considered really sweet if it is 10% or better on the brix ratio. All of our melons are 11 12 13 and 14% brix! Our sweet Lily Crenshaw is 17% on the brix ratio. We know our watermelons and we know what makes an excellent watermelon.
