🍽️ Mussels with White Wine Garlic Sauce Recipe

Ingredients:
🦪 2 lbs (900g) fresh mussels, cleaned and debearded
🧈 2 tablespoons butter
🧄 4 cloves garlic, minced
🍷 1 cup (240ml) dry white wine
🍋 Juice of 1 lemon
🌿 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
🌶️ 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
🧂 Salt and pepper, to taste
🥖 Crusty bread, for serving
Instructions:
Prepare the Mussels:
Rinse the mussels under cold water, scrubbing off any debris. Discard any mussels that are open and do not close when tapped.

Cook the Garlic:
In a large pot or deep skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, but not browned.

Add Wine & Mussels:
Pour in the white wine and lemon juice. Bring to a simmer, then add the cleaned mussels to the pot. Cover and cook for about 5-7 minutes, shaking the pot occasionally until the mussels open up. Discard any mussels that remain closed.
