DeVries Produce/Local Fruit & Veggies

DeVries Fruit & Veggie Roadside Stand has been open since June of 2011. Previously produce was sold at the farm (George & Elizabeth DeVries) on 60.25 Road starting in 1943. Produce at the farm was sold for over 50 years. Richard and Pamela (DeVries) Friend are the proprietors. It is still family operated including children and grandchildren. The produce stand opens each year in mid-June and closes in early November.

A large selection and variety of locally grown fruit and veggies are available at the stand when open. Produce (in season) is available by the pound, box, and larger quantities for eating, canning, or freezing. (Tomatoes, Peaches, Sweet Corn, Melons, Chilies (4 varieties /Roasting available on site), Peppers, Colored Peppers, Cucumbers, Pickling Cukes, Okra, Onions, Potatoes, Squash, Cherries, Plums, Apples, Dry Beans, Local Pickles & Salsa, Rocking W Cheeses, Local Honey, Local Jams, Pears, Squash, Tomatillos, Jalapenos, Winter Squash, Gourds, Corn Stalks, Pumpkins, Beets, Carrots, Dill, and more)!

Fall offers the Pumpkin Patch, Corn Maze, Night mazes, Horsedrawn Wagon Rides, and the Annual Punkin Chunkin Event (the last Saturday in October) in addition to the fresh produce. Sunflower fields blooming in July/ August.

The DeVries Fruit & Veggie Roadside Stand is located North of Montrose on the West Side of Highway 50 between mile markers 85 & 86. When open (Mid-June through October) the hours are 9am to 6pm every day of the week, including holidays.
