Next Thursday, April 23rd from 12-1pm: join warm and inspiring farmer Mitch Lewis of for an interactive conversation about the Business of Growing! Whether you’ve never thought about farming or are looking for well-versed agricultural insight, Mitch invites you to dream of the possibilities (AND make them happen!).

When farmer Mitch tells you, you can “make it happen”, he’s speaking from experience. He and partner Michelle’s farm was born of dreams; years ago, Mitch began regaling his granddaughter with a series of bedtime stories of his own invention; featuring “Billy the Baaad Goat”, “Farmer John”, and “Farmher Joan”, the stories were based on a couple who decided to leave the city to grow crops and lovingly raise rescue animals. Simultaneous to Mitch’s stories, Michelle was dreaming of a “young at heart” adult playground that would encourage grown-ups to feel the curiosity and exuberance of their youth, meaningfully connecting with the world around them and with fun. Years later, the big beautiful red barn they pictured is a reality, as is 28-acres of regenerative farm and community gathering place. And those stories have become published children’s books (look up Billy the Baaad Goat series!).

To visit Summit Farms is to experience dreams in motion, and any visit to their farm stall at our Market will leave you feeling better for it. We hope you take this opportunity to learn and share with one of our valuable resident experts, and allow yourself the first step towards having anything you want: dreaming it.
