Weaving with reed and kiwi today.
I find weaving such a help in processing life— the twists and turns and tangles… the rhythm of going tangential and returning to center… striving to balance the messiness and the order… the not really knowing how it will all turn out , and the need to have faith and muddle through to clarity…
Baskets allow us to hold what we need and let go of the rest, to escape through gaps in the weave. In the creation process, the weaver must decide what is to be let go of, and create the appropriate-sized gaps.
