BFM loss of site and other reasons
The Benson Farmers Market will not be in business this year mostly due to lost access to the site we have had for the last few years. We have been looking for a permanent home for the last several years without any success. Additionally there seems to be little support from the Benson business community. The customer base doesn’t seem to be there and the location, while excellent for our needs, isn’t that good. It is with heavy hart that the board has decided to close the market. There is one vendor who has already paid and that will be refunded.
The loss of the site is a recent development and forced this issue and decision. We regret not saying anything sooner but we didn’t know ourselves.
