The first berries are starting to trickle in, and our first gazebo is open!

Quantities are limited while the season gets rolling, so stop by and grab some fresh-picked strawberries before they’re gone.

A reminder that farming is never guaranteed.

Yesterday morning’s frost damaged a good amount of our strawberry blossoms. It’s tough seeing a crop hurt after all the work that goes into preparing for the season.

Farmers live at the mercy of the weather every year, and sometimes one cold night can change everything.

We’re thankful for the support from everyone who chooses to buy local and support family farms through both the good years and the difficult ones. 🍓❤️

First warm day we’ve had in a while and the strawberries are finally starting to move 🍓

Blossoms are out, but we’re still about a month away.

This weather has been slow, but things are heading in the right direction.

Frost this morning ❄️ — and a perfect example of why we do what we do.

These photos tell the story:
• Strawberries under frost cover = protected ✅
• Strawberries left uncovered = damaged ❌

When temperatures drop, those tiny flower buds are everything. If they freeze, that berry never makes it. You can see it clearly in the split buds—healthy vs. blackened from frost injury.

It’s a lot of work laying and managing row cover, but mornings like this remind us it’s worth it.

How it started ➡️➡️➡️ How it’s going!
Every year the farmer brings home a bouquet of dormant peach branches….then we patiently wait while the warm air wakes them up and lets us know if we can expect a decent peach crop. The verdict is in, flowers = fruit so barring any further disasters we should have plenty of 🍑 🍑 🍑 for you this season!! 😍
