Crawfish season is wrapping up as the crawfish head back underground to burrow for next year! While we wish the season could be longer, warmer temps, diesel prices and changing water conditions say different.

Now it’s rice and soybean season. Time for seeding crawfish back into the rice fields to start next year’s crop. You might still find Spillway crawfish depending on rain, but on this farm we are shutting down fishing and focusing on preparing for next season. 🦞🌾

So much care and prep go into our whole season to provide the best product.

From seeding with the right combination of crawfish at the end of the season, the right farmer with a good crop of rice for our next season to flourish, to our seasoning blend that is made to preserve the flavor of the crawfish, to the love and care that goes into farming, harvesting, and preparing.

We do it different. We may be small, but we are on a mission. Preservation of the culture and farming the right way. Always thankful for the generations before us, the land we love, and the customers who support us.
