With the recent facebook activity and all. We have had a few folks ask and im sure many more curious! We are trying get our page back up and running and engaging with our customers and get our following back. We have slowly started posting and taking shrimp orders and things of that such over facebook to try and start slowly serving our seafood customers again. We are in the slow process of getting our customers back use to doing business with us, getting our building and things back up and running so hopefully sometime in the near future, we can get our business back up and running. If you arent familiar with us and are new or not sure who we are or where we went. We are a small family owned and operated seafood market in Downtown, Opp, AL. Just a Husband and Wife who have a love for the outdoors, fishing of all types and seafood. We wanted to start this business and bring fresh seafood to our town and surronding communities. We first opened up in beginning of 2022 after buying and working on our building and business a year prior to opening. Shortly after opening maybe 2 months in. We found out we were expecting a baby! A little Girl due in December. We already own another business (Pest Control) that we operate and work during the week days and our seafood market open during the weekend, just the 2 of us running it and working it ourselves. So we were working everyday! With a 7 almost 8 year old boy at the time and a lil girl on the way and husband working full time job during the week, Life got a little too busy and we knew when the baby came we’d have to close up shop alot so we made the decision to close up the market temporarily for a little bit before she was due. During our break right before christmas our main seafood supplier in Florida that we partnered with, their business literally burned to the ground so that threw a big wrench into things and we knew that would prolong the business opening back up, we wanted to give them time to get things back together and up and running again. Also during that period as most of our local customers know. We had our daughter the day after christmas but come Janurary we lost her very unexpectedly at a month old. The seafood market opening back up seemed impossible at this point through the grieving and our supplier losing their business. Months later into the year we found out we were expecting another little girl due in Feburary 2024. So we just put seafood market on a pause. As our little girl and oldest boy have been getting bigger and life seems to get a little easier to manage. We have like i said slowly started to post and sell shrimp by orders over the phone. We have a passion for this and we have had this dream of having our little hometown seafood market! We are getting excited about getting it back up and running. It will be a long slow process but we will be working hard behind the scenes and gonna get it back up and running before you know it! So like and follow us and stay tuned for the things to come! 🩵
Thanks, Love The Bowdoins!
