Central Vermont Meats and Orange Custom Game Processing in Orange, VT are growing and looking for dependable people to join our team.

NO MEAT CUTTING EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED — WE WILL TRAIN THE RIGHT PEOPLE.

We have opportunities in:

🥩 Meat Processing / Butcher Apprentice
• Cutting and packaging beef, pork and wild game
• Grinding, sausage making and further processing
• Wrapping, labeling and order preparation
• Cleaning and sanitation
• Learn a skilled trade with hands-on training

🛒 Retail Meat Shop
• Customer service
• Stocking and maintaining the meat and seafood cases
• Packaging, weighing and labeling products
• Taking orders and helping with day-to-day shop operations
• Opportunity to grow into additional responsibility

🔪 Processing / Utility
• Packaging and wrapping
• Grinding and production
• Cleaning and sanitation
• General help wherever needed in the processing facility and shop

Pay: approximately $18–$25/hour depending on position, experience and ability.

Full-time and part-time schedules are available.

Experience in meat cutting, food production, farming, kitchens, construction, manufacturing or other hands-on work is helpful, but not required.

What matters most to us is that you:

• Show up for your scheduled shifts and are on time
• Have reliable transportation to Orange, Vermont
• Are willing to work and learn
• Can work safely around knives and equipment
• Are comfortable working in a refrigerated environment
• Can perform physical work and regularly lift 50 lbs
• Take pride in doing a job correctly

We are willing to teach someone who wants to learn. Meat processing is a skilled trade, and there is an opportunity here for the right person to learn everything from breaking down whole animals to retail meat cutting and value-added production.
