The farm store is restocked with ground beef all the other great beef meat cuts off our steer. We have deals on ground beef and pork sausage. Gr beef is $6 lbs. Buy 10 pounds for $50. Gr sausage is 5 lbs for $15 or 10 lbs for $30. The eggs frig is stocked please take as many dozen as you like @ $2.00 a dozen.
Sourdough is back in the frig weekly.
New to the farm is camp fire wood for all the local summer campers and Lakers. We will deliver larger orders to our local campgrounds. We have wood bags $5. Face cords $110 and other options. All are seasoned mixed hardwoods
Friday, Saturdays and Sundays we will have the freezers open for you to shop all our beef and pork cuts.

What is actually in that pack of ground beef?

Have you ever wondered how many cows are in that one pack of ground beef you just bought?

The answer isn’t one.
It’s not even two.

The average pound of ground beef sold at the grocery store can contain meat from up to 100 different cows.
Not all from one, either.
A huge percentage of the beef labeled “Product of USA” is imported.

Yep.
It can be born, raised, and slaughtered in another country, shipped here frozen, and as long as it’s repacked in the US, they can slap that sticker on it.

That “fresh” ground beef you bought?
It could be from Brazil.
Australia.
Mexico.
A mix of countries and a mix of animals.

There’s no law that says they have to tell.
No law that says how many cows.
No way to trace it back to one steer, one ranch, one pasture.

Just a label and a price tag.
And yet we wonder why nothing tastes like it used to.

Real beef should not be a mystery.
It should be from one animal, not a supply chain.

When you buy beef from a small farm, you’re buying a steer that more than likely had a name
A pasture with rich history.
A family with skin in the game 🍔
