another update from your favorite hydroponic farm (you know...the one in our basement where we grow the freshest lettuce possible ;) ...)
because y'all seem to love it som much (thank you), we have once again made some changes in the hopes that we can once again increase production...
after exhaustive research, we invested again in even better (we think) lights... the first crop harvested this am...and we like em!
(for you gardening nerds like us... these are slightly higher powered, no blue, and a little less red in the 'full spectrum' ...)
you may notice some subtle improvements (not that it wasn't already pretty good lettuce right ;)... we are finding these to be more dense heads and crispier leaves...and a tiny bit darker so even better taste!!! (and...to the reason for the experiment...about 5 days faster to harvest so far)...
AND... we like these so much, that we've fired up the 'experimental rack' to see what else they can do... keep an eye out for those lovely red ones and some more romaine soon too!
AND...yes this means dozens of boxes harvested this am and on shelves right now...
