As some of you may already know, I have made a decision based on our family needs to close Page’s Popcorn. The opportunity came quickly, so our official closing date is set for May 30th! Since we have opened our family has grown to 3 beautiful children, 2 of which play sports that take up a majority of our time traveling for practices, games and even nationally for these different sporting events. I want to be able to share in all these special moments that soon will go quickly as they grow older. It was something that was thought about for some time and not easy, however, the struggle between balancing your own business and family became far too great and very clear that this is definitely the right choice for our life at this moment.
It has been such a wonderful adventure for me, taking a leap on something that I didn’t know much about. I have been so grateful to be a part of the many community events with the Village, Park District, Chamber & our amazing Downtown Business Association. We have enjoyed a great relationship with the OHS Athletic booster program and being featured on the Food Network with Anthony Anderson was by far an amazing moment! All the relationships that have been formed since opening the shop have been the most rewarding. I knew when I opened the shop, all I wanted to be was on Main Street in Downtown Oswego, where the heart of the community lies. I love this community and have enjoyed seeing it thrive the past 14 years that I have lived here. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the support that has been given to a little popcorn shop on Main. Who knows, maybe we will POP up somewhere else, but for now on to new beginnings.
We still have our gourmet popcorn available until we close our doors. We plan on attending the first and what will be our last, Oswego Country Market on June 3rd on Main Street. Come on down and visit us and get your favorite flavor of gourmet popcorn for a price that can’t be beat, while supplies last!!
