🍅 The wait is almost over — the Ottawa Farmers Market returns Wednesday, June 3! 🍅

Join us for our FIRST market of the 2026 season from 5PM–7PM at the VFW Parking Lot (212 W. Second St., Ottawa) for an evening full of fresh local food, shopping, and community fun!

We have some special guests for our opening night - celebrating local authors and books:
📚 Kirstene Adkins – award-winning artist, author, CEO of Art Me Party Entertainment! Kirstene’s premier children’s book, “Oodles!”, was inspired by and dedicated to her late grandmother Aggie. She’s a lover of movies, travel, pop culture, and adventure, living by the motto: “Keep life interesting by trying to do something new every day.”

📚 Abbey Easton – author of the Cypress Falls and Ember Hollow series, known for swoony romance stories filled with hope, small-town charm, and just the right amount of suspense. Abbey lives in Ohio with her husband, two children, and “the sweetest puppers,” and loves cozy rainy days and knitting when she finds spare time.

We’re also excited to welcome the Friends of the Putnam County District Library, who will be joining us with books available from their Annual Sale!

This Memorial Day, we pause to honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. 🇺🇸
Today, we remember their courage, their service, and the families who carry their legacy forward.

The VFW stands proudly in support of our veterans, active-duty service members, and our community — keeping the spirit of patriotism and remembrance alive for future generations. We at the Ottawa Farmers Market are grateful for the support of VFW Post 9142 and look forward to another amazing season.

As we gather with family and friends this weekend, may we never forget the true meaning of Memorial Day.
