The Seneca Summer Music Festival Orchestra will be performing a FREE outdoor concert featuring patriotic pops, light classical favorites celebrating the nation's 250th anniversary, and two exciting world premieres: "Some Small Hope" by Laurence Tallman and "Self Evident Truths" by S. Shade Zajac.

Last evening, members of the McKee family had the privilege of presenting the inaugural McKee Family Big M Scholarship to Lee Granger, a graduating senior at South Seneca Central School District.

The scholarship was established this year to honor the lasting impact that the Big M had on the Ovid community and to recognize a student who embodies the values that defined both the store and Jim McKeeโ€™s legacy: hard work, responsibility, reliability, perseverance, and service to others.

Lee stood out among an impressive group of applicants for his strong work ethic, commitment to his community, academic achievement, leadership, and dedication to balancing school, employment, and service. Throughout high school, he has consistently demonstrated the qualities that have long been valued by the McKee family and by the Ovid community.

We're thrilled to announce that the 40th Annual Ovid Strawberry Festival will feature a dazzling fireworks display on Friday, June 12th at 9:30pm at The Pumpkin Stand (7844 Route 414, Ovid.)

Parking opens at 8:30pm, and don't worry, we've got a rain date set for Saturday, June 13th.

We're forever grateful to our incredible parade organizer and the Village of Ovid for securing a grant through the Seneca County Tourism Grant, making this magic possible! โœจ
